United States – President Joe Biden, under pressure to manage a political crisis over his shaky performance in the debate, will take a television interview on Friday, and his demeanor will be observed to indicate his mental declining health, as reported by Reuters.

Madison Campaign and Key TV Interview Planned

Biden will campaign in Madison, Wisconsin, in a bid to encourage more people to vote for the Democrats. He will sit down for an interview with ABC News during the trip, part of a series of activities over the next week as Obama seeks to reassure the American people he has the energy to compete against the Republican candidate Donald Trump in the November 5 election.

While Biden is adamant that he will remain a presidential candidate and his health is in good shape, he is receiving a lot of pressure to drop out of the race and allow the younger Harris, 59, have a chance at the presidency.

Some donors are expressing their displeasure in a very loud manner by freezing their contributions or considering other possible Democratic options, including several of Biden’s closest political comrades, such as ex-Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi.

Recent polls have revealed that Trump has a sizable advantage over the Democratic president since the debate, and a Reuters/Ipsos poll revealed that one-third of the Democratic people want Biden to drop out of the race.

The White House attributed this to cold, and Biden himself pointed out jet lag after his recent series of trips to Europe.

The ABC interview provides the prospect of Biden making spontaneous remarks, which he has not done frequently, especially since he rarely delivers speeches without the aid of a Teleprompter.

During Fourth of July celebrations in front of the White House on Thursday evening, Biden immediately reacted to someone who shouted to him to “keep up the fight.”

Health Concerns and Public Reassurances

“You got me, man,” Biden responded. “I’m not going anywhere.”

Harris is expected to replace him if Biden pulls out of the race, the sources added, but insiders see him confident that he can also calm the electorate and funders.

Trump and his associates have begun a vigorous premature politico-psychological attack on Harris, as some speculate that she may take over as the Democratic presidential candidate from Biden.

The campaign of Biden has not displayed any signs of slowing down, despite the fact that the Trump campaign has passed it in terms of fundraising.

Campaign Momentum and Fundraising Efforts

The campaign stated in early July that it would invest $50 million in media buying for the month, including targeted placements around two major, diverse-audience events: the 2024 Olympics and the Republican National Convention, as reported by Reuters.

Trump, 78, who lied during the live debate in Atlanta on numerous occasions, also fabricated in one of the videos distributed on social networks that he forced Biden to retreat. In the same video, he also made disparaging comments about Harris, but the Trump campaign did not deny it.
